We welcome all persons and institutions willing to participate in the creation and development of this site, which is devoted to the presentation of both Iberian and Slavonic cultures and, above all, to their crossing points. Please send us your comments and let us share your knowledge, helping us to improve and enlarge upon the infomation already contained within the pages, details that have been inspired by our great passion for these cultures.

        The Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon: Center of Slavic Languages and
        Cultures of the Department of Linguistics and the Center of Comparative Studies,
        welcome you, alongside the Polish Embassy in Lisbon in cooperation with other
        embassies of Slavonic countries in Portugal: the Embassy of Bulgaria; the Embassy of
        Croatia; the Embassy of the Czech Republic; the Embassy of Russia; the Embassy of
        Slovakia and the Embassy of Slovenia, to the website of the 1st international
        conference "Iberian and Slavonic Cultures: Contact and Comparison" which will
        take place from 18 to 20 May, 2006. We look forward to your contribution hoping you
